July 12th News
Since my last newsletter, we have made a couple of trips.
One was to Highlands, NC. We loaded the whole family in our Suburban that
normally get used only to tow the trailer. It was fun having seven of us all in
one vehicle.
We stopped along the way to see Dry Falls and Bridal Veil Falls
Dry Falls is really neat because you can walk behind the water fall and stay
relatively dry. Pictures are posted at http://mikestrawbridge.com/dryfalls.htm
The last time we were at Bridal Veil falls, you could drive under it. Now, a
big chuck of rock has fallen on the road under the falls so you can only see it
from the road.
There are a couple of other very pretty water falls along Hwy 64 that are
hard to view. You can see them well enough form the road but there are only
small pull offs. Not easy to use these in traffic and a Suburban. We need to
come back here in the Jeep to see them better.
We celebrated July 4th in Bell Buckle Tn running the Rally around
the park. The story is posted at http://mikestrawbridge.com/bell%20buckle%20rally.htm
Mike is doing some work on the Rally Racer so he can use it off road between
races. Keep track of his progress at http://jgandsr.blogspot.com
